Rakibuzzaman Rahat

I grew up in Bangladesh. I was the kind of kid who liked making things, and a lot of the time that meant breaking them first to see how they worked. Tech and games got me early, and that curiosity never really left.

I went to BUET and studied Materials and Metallurgical Engineering. There I found out I could build things without breaking them, mostly, by writing code. I started with small scripts and buggy experiments. I was always curious about how games worked, so I went down that rabbit hole and ended up making a few of my own. That opened up a whole other way of thinking for me.

After my bachelor's I worked in Bangladesh for a few years, in materials and in games. Then I moved to Germany. I'm now doing a Master's in Materials Science and Engineering at RWTH Aachen.

These days I split my time between studies, building indie games with ZeezBit Studios, and working on AI and automation in industry. I still do creative coding and data viz when I get the chance. I like that materials and software sit in the same kind of space: both are about understanding how systems work and making things that actually do something.

When I'm not at a screen I'm often outside looking up at the sky. I'm still a stargazing noob but I love it.
